About Us — Elio Veran
Built for the Body You're In, Now
I didn't set out to build a fashion brand. I built Elio Veran because I watched a problem happen in my own home, over and over, and I couldn't ignore it anymore.
The Frustration That Started It All
I didn't grow up thinking about fashion. I grew up without enough of it. I wore my cousins' hand-me-downs, whatever the roadside stalls could offer, in a home in Uttarakhand where money was tight and my mother made one quiet promise to me: when you grow up, buy yourself as many clothes as you want.
I kept that promise to myself. Years of hustle, repairing phones on a factory floor by day, teaching myself Photoshop and Premiere Pro by night, eventually built me a career, an income, a life where I could finally afford whatever I wanted to wear.
But it was my wife who showed me the real problem hiding in plain sight.
She'd come home from shopping for lingerie and shapewear frustrated. Not because of the price. Because of the fit. She'd try something on hoping it would finally feel right, and instead spend the whole day adjusting, digging in, uncomfortable, again and again. It wasn't a one time bad buy. It was every single time.
That's when it clicked for me. I'd spent my whole life solving my own discomfort with clothing. Hers hadn't been solved at all. She could afford anything, and she was still uncomfortable in it, because nobody had actually built it for a body like hers.
The Real Problem: Nobody Was Designing for Indian Bodies
So I did what I'd always done. I taught myself. Patterning. Fabric behavior. How a garment is actually engineered, not just sketched and sold. I spent months inside one of the world's biggest fashion manufacturing hubs, watching shapewear and lingerie get built from the inside out.
And that's where I found it. Most shapewear sold to Indian women wasn't designed for Indian bodies at all. The sizing, the proportions, the block patterns, all of it was borrowed from European and American measurements and simply relabeled for the Indian market. Nobody had gone back and engineered it properly for the body it was actually meant to fit.
That realization became Elio Veran.
What I Built Elio Veran to Stand For
I believe shapewear should do more than smooth and shape. It should support your body, your comfort, and the way you actually move through your day.
I started Elio Veran because I saw the gap myself. Shapewear that promises transformation but delivers discomfort by noon. Silhouettes engineered for a photo, not for a full day of living. Sizing built for someone else's body, not yours.
I wanted something different. Shapewear that works as hard as you do, and feels like it was made for your body, not the other way around.
Comfort First
Every seam, panel, and stitch is engineered for all-day wear. Because shapewear you can't forget you're wearing is shapewear you won't wear at all.
Real Bodies, Real Fit
I design across a full size range, because confidence isn't one size fits all, and neither are Indian women.
Quality You Can Feel
From fabric sourcing to construction, every piece is held to a standard that outlasts trends and outlasts a single wash.
Everyday Empowerment
Under a work blazer, a wedding lehenga, or your favourite jeans, my pieces are made to help you feel like the most put together version of yourself, all day, every day.
My Promise to You
I'm not here to tell you to change your body. I'm here to help you feel incredible in the one you have, today, tomorrow, and every day after.
Elio Veran. Built for the body you're in, now.
